to me film photography is more in the realm of kaleidescopes
and dvd menus and the tail end of that era of the internet
where we were still just porting over our physical things into
it but it hadnt started to change the way we think about them
and the yellow receipts you get at waffle house and having title
cards and introductions at the beginning of a movie and the
icons of the weather channel and the designs of the candy you see
but dont recognize on the shelves in gas stations.
to me its in their realm because it doesnt inherently serve some higher purpose.
i mean all of these things are functional but in the way we chose to model
how they looked and felt after how they functioned we ended up
creating art out of them anyways and to me that is film photography.
